NIVaM - National Institute of Education and Youth, is looking for a trainer to prepare, implement and evaluate activities related to the training format "Sustainable Local Youth Work in Eastern Slovakia: Powered by Europe Goes Local and Democracy Reloading".
The aim of this activity is to train municipal officers on involving young people in municipal decision-making, and to develop strategies, structures, and policies to achieve this goal.
Objectives:
• To provide an overview of the current reality of municipal youth work and youth participation in Slovakia.
• To explore challenges and approaches of local and regional municipalities regarding youth policy and youth participation (through specific examples).
• To understand the basic principles of the Europe Goes Local Charter and the Reference Framework of Democracy Reloading, and explore how these tools can contribute to the development of local youth policy.
• To examine how Erasmus+ (Youth Participation Projects) can support the development of local youth participation
· To provide space for for networking and fostering cooperation among participants.
Expected profile of participants:
• Youth policy desk officers of municipalities.
• Elected political representatives (youth policy makers) of municipal councils.
• Youth workers engaged in youth participation in democratic decision-making.
• Young representatives of youth participation structures (e.g. youth councils, parliaments, committees, etc).
